Commercial Services

Dry ice cleaning, or CO₂ blasting, is an effective, innovative cleaning method using compressed air and dry ice pellets. It is highly efficient for factories and businesses.

Dry ice blasting is faster and less disruptive than traditional cleaning methods. It reduces downtime and is gentle on surfaces.

The process accelerates solid carbon dioxide (CO₂) pellets through a pressurized air stream which sublimates (turns from solid to gas) on impact. When the subzero dry ice pellets make contact with a surface, they expand and lift away residue without damaging the surface itself. The thermal shock removes contaminants and kills bacteria, leaving nothing behind.

Key Benefits

Safe

Dry ice blasting is safe. The materials used are nontoxic, nonconductive and nonabrasive.

Reduced downtime

Dry ice blasting doesn't use water, so it can significantly reduce downtime because it doesn't require time to dry. It also reduces the need for disassembling equipment, making it faster and more efficient than other cleaning methods.

Environmentally friendly

Dry ice blasting is a green cleaning solution. The pellets are nontoxic and made from recycled CO₂. The process does not introduce more CO₂ into the atmosphere and requires minimal water.

Nonabrasive

Unlike sandblasting or other abrasive cleaning methods, dry ice blasting is nonabrasive. It can clean dirt and grime without harming substrates, making it ideal for delicate parts and components.

No secondary waste

The sublimation of dry ice into carbon dioxide gas means there is minimal cleanup required after the process. It doesn't leave behind chemical residue like some other cleaning methods.

Nonconductive

The solid CO₂ pellets propelled by compressed air are nonconductive, making it safe for energized electrical components, electronics and delicate machinery

No masking time

This nondestructive method of cleaning doesn't require you to mask off parts of the item being cleaned.

 Eliminate or reduce disassembly

Dry ice blasting can get into small areas and doesn't harm many parts, so you'll need less time disassembling your equipment for cleaning.

Nonflammable

CO₂ is a nonflammable gas with no risk of combustion.

Facility Maintenance

Buildup of dirt, soot, grease and oil in production facilities cause machinery to function inefficiently and improperly. Effective cleaning leads to equipment operating at peak efficiency, extends the life of assets and reduces repair and replacement costs. Companies may delay cleaning to reduce production shutdowns. Dry ice cleaning provides a quick, safe and economical solution that allows equipment to be cleaned in-place without disassembly or cool down.

Food Industry Cleaning

Food processing and packaging equipment accumulates grease, carbonized residue, seasonings, proteins, harmful bacteria, biofilms, adhesives, labels and many other contaminants that traditionally take significant time to clean. Dry ice cleaning is highly efficient and reduces downtime because it can be done with minimal disassembly. It does not use water or chemicals, so there is no drying time or additional secondary waste removal required.

Heavy Equipment Cleaning

Dry ice blasting provides a powerful, safe, nonabrasive and eco-friendly way to remove grease, dirt, oil and grime from engines, undercarriages and sensitive components. It cleans thoroughly without damaging surfaces, reduces downtime and leaves no secondary waste.

Asphalt Removal

When asphalt accumulates on equipment, it creates quality concerns, wears parts and shortens the equipment’s lifespan. Cleaning asphalt, bitumen and tar from paving equipment, trucks or tanks with traditional methods such as pressure washers, chemicals or chisels can be very time consuming and harmful to the environment. Cleaning with dry ice blasting is a safer and faster alternative, which is completely dry and nontoxic. It does not create a secondary waste stream.

Mold Remediation

Dry ice blasting mold remediation offers a fast, safe and eco-friendly way to remove mold from wood, porous materials and hard-to-reach spaces. High-speed dry ice pellets lift mold spores and contaminants, leaving no residue, reducing cleanup and minimizing the need for harsh chemicals.

Smoke and Fire Restoration

Dry ice blasting smoke and fire restoration provides a fast, nonabrasive and chemical-free way to remove soot, smoke residue and odors from wood, brick, metal and other surfaces. The process lifts contaminants without damaging materials, leaving surfaces clean and odor-free with minimal cleanup.

Automotive Detailing

Dry ice blasting automotive detailing offers a safe, nonabrasive way to clean cars, boats and other vehicles. The process can be used to clean undercarriages, engine bays, interiors and even classic car surfaces. It removes dirt, grease, rust and odors without damaging sensitive components or finishes.

Aviation

Dry ice cleaning helps aerospace manufacturers meet stringent industry demands. The process safely removes many types of contaminants, such as epoxy, Teflon tapes, silicones, carbon, graphite and phenolic, from a variety of surfaces for maintenance purposes, safety inspections and as a surface preparation prior to painting.

Electrical Power

Dry ice blasting ensures regular maintenance of critical path power equipment in power generation. The process is non-conductive, non-abrasive, does not create secondary waste and allows for effective in-place cleaning without cooldown or disassembly.
